Dual enrollment refers to courses in which high school students have the opportunity to earn both high school and college credit simultaneously. Dual enrollment courses are taught by Ivy Tech faculty on the Ivy Tech Madison campus. Students who meet prerequisites (PSAT, SAT, Knowledge Assessment, or GPA) and who earn at least a C average in the course will earn Ivy Tech college credit in addition to the high school credit.
Shawe offers the following dual enrollment courses for juniors/seniors. Refer to the Shawe Grading System for details about how dual credit courses are weighted in regards to GPA.
BIOL 101: Introductory Biology (Biology II)
COMM 101: Public Speaking
APHYS 101: Anatomy & Physiology (offered alternate years)
